126BIME – BIM

Anotation:

The course is focused on basic knowledge in the field of building information modeling (BIM) in theoretical and practical areas, usable across various construction industry specializations and fields. Students will be acquainted not only with the basic knowledge of BIM (on the theoretical and practical level), data formats, IT systems typical for the building industry, but also with the context of BIM in the current construction industry in relation to the whole project life cycle and its specifics (delivery, expert focus, construction projects phases, etc.) Theoretical knowledge is complemented by practical exercises aimed at mastering and understanding the basic principles of object-oriented parametric modeling.

Lectures:

Lectures: Introduction in digitization and BIM; Data requirements; Digitization in the construction industry; Data formats; Data standards; Accuracy of objects and elements; Data standard – infrastructure constructions; Computer graphics; Vector and raster graphics; Data sources in the Czech Republic; Intellectual property; Project management and object databases

Seminars:

Introduction to Autodesk Revit; simple model preparation; Seminar work – BIM country specific regulations.

Semester progress control:

Participation in lectures and seminars. Control of mastered material by teachers in seminars.

In person lectures asn seminars:

Schedule of lectures and seminars according to topics determined by teachers in seminars and lectures. Ongoing monitoring of attendance by teachers for exercises.

Remote lectures and seminars:

In the form of online meetings in MS Teams according to the schedule.
